thankyou

Just go to the local supermarket and do your local shop and slip some laxatives into your trolley.

Trust me, I am a checkout chick and I don’t even look at what people buy, so chances are they won’t either.

What is the difference btwn women’s laxatives and all-bran 50% fiber cereal?

I am nervous to take laxatives because I don’t know how it will make me feel…. I am not exactly taking this because I need it.
in the last months i have gained 10 pounds and i need to get it off quick!! help!

Well, most laxatives are chemical irritants with no nutrients. All bran cereal contains a non-soluble fiber,which is not nearly as irritating to the colon, and you get some vitamins and minerals in the mix. Your body was designed to work with the food- and use the fiber in the cereal, plus absorb the nutrients it contains. Your body was not designed to have all the systems overridden by a chemical irritant. If you do not need a laxative, you should not take one. I should think that would be pretty obvious. You were designed for food, not pills. While one episode of laxatives probably won’t hurt anything, in the long run- laxative abuse does take it’s toll on you. Those tiny bits of damage add up, and you increase your risk of colon cancer, irritable bowel, Crohn’s disease, etc. If you want a healthy gut, eat the cereal.

I’m writing an english paper about the difference between anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa. I came accross laxatives i’m just not sure how they are used and what they help you in. I googled it but it’s better for me if someone who knows well explains it better.

Thank You.

you can eat what you want and as much as you want and right after you are finished eating take a laxative and it will make you poo out all the food you ate and your body won’t absorb any of the calories BUT doing this on a regular basis can lead to anal ,colon , and stomach cancer. I had a dear friend who took laxatives after she ate and she died of these cancers.

Can you have a bad reaction to laxatives?

by admin ·
Filed under: Laxatives

The last two times I ahve taken them I’ve been really nauseous and I get muscle spasms/ twitches. I tried another laxative this time and now I am really sick. Is it possible to have an allegric reaction to laxatives and what can I do to stop the reaction?

Bummer.
A person can have a bad/allergic reaction to just about anything.
Usually though an allergic reaction has specific signs. Itching, rash, some very severe.
You might try drinking lots of water to "flush" the laxative out of your system. There are medications to counteract a true allergic reaction but if this is from an ingredient in the laxative, an antihistamine won’t help. A druggist is probably your best bet.
Next time I’d suggest a glycerin suppository.

What can happen to a person who uses laxatives to lose weight?
What happens to the body when a person uses laxatives to lose weight?

Eventually, your body will become dependent on the laxatives in order to have a bowel movement, and you will lose the ability to defecate on your own. Lack of activity in your colon/bowels can lead to rectal and/or colon cancer. Don’t do it!!!

How long does it take for Natural Senna laxatives to start working?

by admin ·
Filed under: Laxatives

I don’t want them to kick in about 2 days!

If any of you have taken them - or know someone who has - what’s the average time it takes for Natural Senna Laxatives to start working?

I’m meeting my friend tomorrow and I really don’t want them to just start working then… :(
If you take them last thing at night they usually work the following day, for me anyway so round about 15 hours. Every-ones digestive system is different though and it depends a lot on how long its been since you went. If its a long time it will probably take longer than that. I certainly wouldn’t take them before you meet your friend, just in case!

Am diabetic and remain constipated , have to take laxatives daily , is it good to be laxative dependent ?

I have chronic constipation , am diabetic from past 20 years and am on insulin from past 7 years , I remain so constipated that I have to take laxatives on daily bases , get a bulging feeling in the stomach , it swells out like a balloon although I do not eat much. Should I continue with laxatives ?

I would recommend that you include more fruits and vegetables in your diet and less meat and dairy. Since adopting this healthy diet, and exercising daily, I was able to quit all medications last year. I am regular as can be. How can you lose weight quick using laxatives?

by admin ·
Filed under: Laxatives

I know, I know…it sounds unsafe and who really wants to endure the cramps and frequent trips to the restroom. But I need to lose atleast 5-10 pounds in a week or so. I have started by drinking plenty of water and I have ate smaller portions at meal time, but I need quicker results.

Excercise and healthier eating habits are obviously the best way to accomplish weight loss, but I don’t have much time. Plus, excercise is time consuming and very boring. For a long-term and healthier lifestyle I will begin to follow those two simple rules but I need to drop this excess weight now!

And in case you are wondering I am going to a last-minute family reunion and I would hate to show my family that I have packed on few extra pounds! HELP! :) Which laxatives will work and how many or often do I take them?

PLEASE, don’t go the laxative route! First of all, you won’t loose any weight, you’ll lose a few water lbs, but gain them back before the reunion. I’m no expert on dieting, but I’ve struggled with weight my whole life and i’ve found there’s only one safe way to lose 10 or more lbs in a week (years of trying different diets, fasting and excersing makes me a SELF proclaimed expert :) I had to go to a wedding and had to lose 15 or more to fit in my dress and only had a week. Lost it easy. It’s a really hard diet to stick to (even for only a week), but it will work. PLEASE - THIS IS GIVEN ONLY WITH THE ASSUMPTION THAT YOU ARE AN ADULT, IN GOOD HEALTH AND UNDERSTAND THE IMPLICATIONS OF ANY DIET WHICH DEPRIVES THE BODY OF ANY TYPE OF NUTRITION! It would be irresponsible for me to suggest this without saying that, however, I’ve asked several doctors, and they both said that they see no reason in the world why this should be unhealthful, and suggest "If it works for you, go ahead!". In Northern California there is a diet that the mental health hospital uses to de-toxify some patients and the combination of these foods take more calories to burn that it gives the body. So you’ll lose more weight than fasting. I’m not kidding either. Along with each day (below), make ahead of time a batch of this disgusting soup: (1 whole onion, 1 whole cabbage, 6 medium tomatoes, 1 package of lipton onion soup mix. Boil until veggies are soft. The more you eat of the above soup, the more weight you’ll lose, and the better you’ll feel at the end. I have a sheet which lists each day, discusses the soup in detail, the nutrition, etc…..and exactly WHY it works, etc…., but don’t have the room here to write it…so if you like, just trust this:
First day: East as much watermelon as you can stuff into your mouth. The more you eat, the more you lose. This first day, mostly gets rid of water. Eat the soup!
Second day: Your body is already super hungry after yesterday, but you will probably be 3lbs lighter by tomorrow morning - so keep it up! The rest of the diet will work by the end, so don’t get discouraged if you’re on day 5 and only lost 4 or 5 lbs. It does catch up! Eat as much green leafy vegetables as possible. Again, as much as you can stuff. Eat the soup at every hunger pain.
Third Day: Eat a combination of the above two days. You must STUFF though…as much as you can (without making yourself sick of course) - SOUP, SOUP, SOUP!!!
Fourth Day: Weird, I know, but eat 6 oz. of lean beef and all the green veggies that you want (not stuff yourself), but until your quite full (but only 6 oz of the beef - any kind). Don’t forget your soup - stuff, stuff, stuff.
Fifth Day: If your still on the diet, you’ve gone farther than most people will. This diet makes you super hungry, because your body thinks it’s not only NOT eating, but even worse….since the foods eaten burn faster than they do when even fasting, it feels even more starved. (this will not hurt you if done once in a while, in fact, I was told by two Doctors, that it’s good for you). Eat 6 more oz of beef and 6 small tomatoes. And of course, as much of the soup as you can manage.
6th day: 4 large bananas and 16 oz of milk - and stuff the soup down!
7th day: Congrats! You should be at minimum of 10lbs lighter now. And you have enough energy to run a marathon, don’t you? Hard, wasn’t it? Ease back into eating and you won’t gain much back, maybe a lb or two, if you watch it. Eat heartily of all the green veggies you want and have 1 cup of brown rice. Ease back on the soup (you’re probably sick of it anywayz)
Good luck to you!

Someone at my work has been eating my leftover lunches I stick in the refridgerator. This happened twice. First time it was a half eaten burrito and yesterday it was some half eaten chicken quesidilla. Another co-worker told me that her sodas and bagels left in the refridgerator have been stolen as well. I wanted to put some chocolate cookies in the fridge w/ laxatives in there for that specific person. Will I get in trouble?

Not if it is in your lunch bucket or if it has your name on it and someone steals it. Only if you give it specifically to someone.

Why do Fiber One bars work better than laxatives?

Honestly, I eat one of those things before going to bed, and the next morning I need to go. Laxatives work if they feel like it.

What’s in these bars that makes me go? It’s not the fiber, because it makes me have floppy sloppy poo, LOL.
Naw they don’t wreck me, I just wake up with sloppy poo, I don’t get gas or pains or anything.

9 grams of fiber per bar…

Those things wreck me…lol.

It’s going to depend on the type and the dosage, but hopefully you can modiffy this to your case:
If you take more than one which is what I’m guessing, slowly ease off. Say you take 3, today take your normal 2 and replace the 3rd with 1tblsp of olive oil(natural laxative) continue for about a week. Nexxt week replace he 2nd with like eating 2 tblsp of flax seed(another one) and only be takin the 1st laxative. A week later rplace your last me with another natural laxativ(east to google) by then you should be taking olive oil flaxseed and whatever else you choose. Start to learn how to incorporate these in meals(eg: flaxseed in sauces or cereals, olive oil and vinegar on salad, etc)

Hi!

Have you ever heard about "Fat Loss 4 Idiots Diet"? Reading about it makes you wonder if they might not be on to something. The way the diet works is different than other fad diets that involve cutting out certain types of food like low carbohydrates, low fat or low calorie. Instead it uses calorie shifting foods that you would normally eat, increases the number of times you eat, and changes when you eat certain things for fast fat loss.

What is Calorie Shifting?

The way calorie shifting works involves tricking the fat hormones that are sent out by the brain. Every time you eat something, your brain sends out fat storing and fat burning hormones, depending on what the item is.

The idea is to send more fat burning than fat storing hormones, so that the body does not hold onto the fat for later use. If you keep confusing the metabolism, you will see fast fat loss, as much as 9 pounds in 11 days, that is the first weightloss principle of Fat Loss 4 Idiots Diet.

How Does The Metabolism Control Weightloss?

This scientific weight control fact about the metabolism and how it works stems from our ancestry as cavemen, when there were famine periods between hunts. The body would store and hold onto fat for survival. The metabolism has not evolved from this self-defense tactic and doesn't realize we can just run to the grocery store and get whatever we want.

On restrictive diets, weightloss can plateau when the metabolism thinks it is experiencing a famine period, and it will only burn what is taken in. Even on some of the popular low carbohydrate diets, it is advised to eat pizza for two days when your weight plateaus to get the metabolism going.

Why Do Some Weightloss Diets Leave You With No Energy?

The only problem with many of these restrictive weightloss diets is the metabolism goes back to only burning what you take in and many people complain about being tired and worn down, when it is mainly the metabolism storing up the energy for later.

By eating healthy, nutritious foods that are fat burning, the metabolism burns as much energy as you need. Many people on restrictive weightloss diets will regain the weight when they go back to eating normal foods.

What Is The Best Diet For Weightloss?

The best weight control diet allows you to eat the foods that you would normally eat, have in your refrigerator and cabinets. By timing when you eat certain foods, how many times a day you eat them, and balancing the types of food, your metabolism will burn what you take in and then some, because it knows you will be feeding it again shortly, instead of starving.

Prepackaged fat loss products and frozen dinners are not something you can live on the rest of your live. You need to understand the basics of natural weight control, and Fat Loss 4 Idiots Diet uses the fundamental principles of controlling the metabolism with calorie shifting normal foods you eat every day.

Check my source, it might help. It's a diet that works. Good luck!

How to make yourself poop without laxatives?

I know this is a weird question. But i've been constipated for the past 4 days and I feel like I have to go it just wont come out. Is there any certain foods I can eat to help me poop? I don't want to take laxatives.

I accidentally found a few things did it for me. Xylatol sugar gave me the runs big time as well as oregano oil capsules and these worked much better than prunes, which I love to eat. Besides that you can get natural remedies like magnesium citrate or senna. I like to throw some ground psyllium fiber in my breakfast to stay regular, you can try that too.

5 Things You Should Know About Using Laxatives To Lose Weight

For a number of years now, some people have resorted to “unusual” ways in which to lose weight. Unfortunately, laxatives for many people seem to be the answer to their problem. Well, this article is going to point out the reasons why you should NOT use laxatives when trying to lose weight.

The first thing to understand about using laxatives, is that although they may help digest your food a little faster than normal, using them on a regular basis will actually cause you a lot of pain. Avoid using laxatives unless you want to suffer a lot of pain when trying to lose weight.

Secondly, if you suffer from constipation there are other methods to open your bowels and relieve the tension as such. Drinking lots and lots of water is the most natural way of relieving constipation. Drink it before meals and after meals and at least eight glasses a day. Add more fibre rich foods to your diet as they help to speed up bowel movement.

Thirdly, if you are on any sort of medication currently, laxatives can actually make your medication less effective. In many cases they can actually remove any effect your medication is supposed to have for you. This is a great reason to avoid them.

Fourthly, the only thing you will lose by taking laxatives is water and body fluids. You will not lose fat with them. To become thinner and lose weight you need to burn fat and not lose body fluids. Taking laxatives will actually end up with your body becoming dehydrated. They collect water from your body and then pass them through your bowel movements. When this happens you will lose all your water and become dehydrated.

If you use laxatives and this happens, you could possibly be misled or fooled into thinking you have lost weight, but in reality you have not lost any fat, which is what real weight loss is all about.

Lastly, when your body becomes dehydrated through using laxatives it will begin to store water so that it can survive. Better known as water retention, this will make you feel bloated and will actually increase your weight.

The truth is if you use laxatives to try to lose weight, you will actually end up weighing more. Avoid taking laxatives at all costs because not only will you end up heavier, but it could have a detrimental effect on your overall health.

So there you have it. If you are considering using laxatives, then I hope the information in this article will help you to realise it is a bad option to consider?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Laxatives are normally used when someone has been constipated for a long time and they need to have a bowel movement. However, in the world of eating disorders, people will abuse and overly use laxatives believing that they are losing weight from the use and that they are thinner. Of course, life would be a little too easy if some issues didn’t come up from the abuse of laxatives, and believe me, there are MANY *issues* that pop up from the abuse of these pills.
First, you should know just how exactly a laxative works. The common belief is that it will make you “lose weight.” So, is this true? Absolutely NOT. A laxative performs it’s duty in your colon, not in your stomach. “What is the big deal with that?” you ask. Here is the big deal - by the time food reaches the colon, all of the calories from the food have already been absorbed by the body. Yup, you read that right. You may feel as though you have lost weight after spending a day on the toilet from these pills, but the only thing you’ve lost is water weight which just bounces right back on. Within 48 hours of using a laxative the body retains water to make up for all that it has lost.
After finding out that calories aren’t really absorbed through the use of laxatives and that real weight hasn’t been lost it is common for someone with an eating disorder to just say, “Well, I at least FEEL better and I FEEL that I’ve lost weight, so who cares.” BUT, there are a lot of medical risks that accompany the abuse of laxatives, whether the laxative be in pill, suppository, herbal, or liquid form. Below is a list of the problems that you will encounter if you begin the treacherous road of laxative abuse:
* Severe abdominal pain
* Chronic Diarrhea: After repeated use of laxatives you eventually lose control of your rectum and may find a pile of you know what in your bed or underwear when you wake up.
* Bloating
* Dehydration
* Gas
* Nausea, even vomiting
* Electrolyte Disturbances: This can lead to heart arrythmias and heart attacks
* Chronic Constipation: I’ve heard stories from friends where when they tried to stop taking laxatives, they were unable to “go” for as long as a month
When trying to stop the addiction to laxatives, people commonly experience nausea, constipation, and gas. For me personally I’ve found that weaning myself off of laxatives slowly has helped to not only decrease the
Why do people use laxatives to loose weight?
Filed under: Laxatives
Ive heard of people "abusing" laxatives to loose weight. I've had to use laxatives on a few occasions because I get constipated alot, and laxatives are definitley NOT fun. So my question is, how do laxatives make people loose weight, and why would people purposely make themselves suffer through the cramps and what not of laxatives when they dont have to?
I have no idea, I can't imagine. When I was in high school a friend of mine did this, she was always in the bathroom. She used laxative gum. She ended up in the hospital because she was seriously sick. Repetative constant Laxative use can speed up the process of food leaving the body which means it goes right through you instead of being absorbed. It really starves the body from nutrition as well. Personally I can't imagine having constant cramps like that and having to rush to the bathroom, etc.
It can cause serious damage to your body and you can become dependent upon laxatives to have a bowel movement as well. But long term results can be serious and even cause death.
It's a form of bulimia which is an illness. Instead of throwing up they use laxatives but it's part of the same illness.
How many laxatives should i take to burn the calories after i binge?
It is very unhealthy to binge eat and you should not take any laxatives unless you are constipated or your doctor tells you to. If you have an eating disorder (not saying you do) it is more beneficial for you to seek professional help, because you can do a lot of damage to your body that may not be seen right now, but may be long term and irreversible.
Are laxatives safe to use during pregnancy?
by admin ·
Filed under: Laxatives
I'll be 36 weeks along on monday, and was wondering if anyone knew if laxatives are ok to take while pregnant? If so, what kind?
They can cause contractions. And diarrhea, so if you do go into labor, it won't be pretty.
Prunes and prune juice, as well as plenty of vegetables and whole grains, all of that is safe. And plenty of pure water. I had a nurse tell me to try some Australian style licorice, which is licorice that actually has licorice extract in it, and some have anise extract too. I've been eating a little piece every other day, and that has helped me, too.
Beyond that, you should really talk with your doctor.
Do stool softeners work the same way as laxatives?
by admin ·
Filed under: Laxatives
When one takes a lot of laxatives, the body becomes dependent on them for its metabolism. I know stool softeners do not make the body dependent on them for normal production.
I am curious, however, if taking stool softeners will allow you to lose weight like laxatives would.
Also, would you lose more weight with stool softeners or a body cleansing method? Thank you for your help!
A stool softener is a type of laxative, and your body will become dependent on it should you use it regularly.
Laxatives are useful if you are constipated. They are not helpful in reducing your weight.
If you want to weigh less then you should eat well, exercise moderately and live a passionate life.
As for body cleansing methods, the body is always cleaning itself.
