what kind of whole grain cereal would not affect my IBS?
what kind of whole grain cereal would not affect my ibs, meaning it would not cause or aggravate my bloating gaz and constipation.i know that weetabix is out of the question A BIG NO.
ANY other good sources of whole grain cereal?
Rolled Oats [old fashioned porridge].
Not the instant kind.
Make it in a saucepan, better than the microwave,
I have no-sugar-added, fruit yoghurt on top, with milk.
Keeps your blood sugar great, as has Low Glycaemic index.
All the best. [I find that all cereals give me bloating, so don't know the answer for that one].

Any grain may contribute to bloating, gas and constipation when the bacteria in your gut ferment the carbohydrates in the grain. Stick to lower carbohydrate grains like oatmeal or to bran cereal (but check the label for added sugar and total non-sugar carbohydrates). Aim for 5-6 g protein per serving along with the minimum amount of non-fiber carbohydrate (that is, sugars and starches, whether added or not).
