Irritable bowel syndrome in a child?
Does anyone have a child with irritable bowel syndrome? Please tell me what your childs symptoms were and how you treat it.
I had ibs as a child (and continue to have it as an adult). Symptoms were infrequent bowel movements and later I'd have the constipation alternating with diarrhea, stomach cramping, sometimes explosive diarrhea. Stress was related to the symptoms as a young adult. You can add fiber (never helped me). I believe there are medications for it now but I don't know if there are age limits involved.
