has anyone got so bloated with Irritable bowel syndrome?
I am suffering really bad again, clothes feel so tight round the waist=I think mine is work stress related-I am back taking colpermal again (peppermint oil) . I am worst during the day and in the evening especially after I have eaten-fine in the morning-after passing wind then it starts again. Are there any other ways of curing the bloating and pain?
i have it and i found that avoiding white bread and oats help me i make a list of what i eat then tick what affects me. i only eat wholemeal bread and i avoid fizzy pop. but if it gets bad go to the doc they will give u something to help it like i did

I get IBS when I eat too fast, and I only eat too fast when I have to eat at a business lunch.

Ask in health shops about charcoal tablets or biscuits - They help absorb gas so you feel better.

Try a sachet of fibre gel each day. It helps if you take it regularly

Try drinking more water & eating foods rich in fibre especially fruits. They really help in digestion. Also, make it a habit to clear your bowels regularly like a fixed time of the day daily.

My daughter has IBS and has gone 'wheat-free' and is amazed at the difference. Check the labels as loads of things have wheat in. Wheat is well known for bloating but it has helped my daughter's pain and severe episodes of diarrhoea too, quite miraculous.
