What if the Constipation Cause Is Not Food?
Diet is often cited as a common constipation cause and with very good reason: anything that affects the digestive system will also affect the body’s ability to evacuate waste from the colon. Dehydration, however, is one of the principle causes of constipation and any behavior or substance known to be diuretic in nature is likely to cause infrequent bowel movements.

Basically, any activity, substance, or condition that leads to dehydration or malfunctioning of the colon muscles is likely to cause constipation.
