Why You May Need Extreme Colon Cleanser
The reason that so few people believe they may need an extreme colon cleanser is because they believe such products are only effective when it comes to preventing or treating severe cases of constipation. It is true that colon cleansing products help with constipation troubles but there are a number of medical problems associated with a build-up of feces in the colon, including:
- Sudden or frequent outbreaks of acne
- Increased likelihood of yeast infection
- Candidasis
- Diverticulosis
- Bladder and/or kidney infections
So why are all of these problems more likely to occur when a colon is clogged and is any colon cleansing procedure really necessary? In all reality, the bowels are toxic repositories and this is particularly the case when frequent or severe cases of constipation occur. As we age, the colon and large intestinal walls become caked with dried sheets of feces that narrow the inner cavity of the colon. This means that normal stool evacuation is slowed as well as the entire digestive process when you do not take the time to perform a periodic colon cleanse.
Because normal bowel movements become more difficult the more dried feces collect along the gastrointestinal tract, this means that toxins and bacteria are in your system for longer periods of time. If stool is not eliminated in a timely fashion, the toxins and bacteria will invade other parts of the body via your bloodstream. The greater the concentration of these harmful elements (and the longer you go in between colon cleanse treatments), the more likely that one or more of the conditions described above will negatively affect your health.
A colon cleanse diet is the best means of preventing the build-up of waste and undigested food (which decays and emits high levels of toxins). In particular, it is important to eat the daily recommended amount of dietary fiber as it helps add bulk to stool and thus makes normal bowel movements more “regular”. Even when eating a diet high in fiber, you may want to include fasting and colon cleansing as it will help flush the toxins and waste faster.
Plus, be sure to drink plenty of fluids as constipation problems are very common when your body does not have enough water to loosen stool and help with evacuation. Be careful to avoid behaviors that can increase the odds of dehydration, such as:
- Consumption of alcohol
- Use of stimulants such as those found in laxatives (which are mistaken for colon cleanse products but are in fact short term constipation remedies)
- Drinking coffee, sodas, or teas made with caffeine
- Excessive exercise (be sure to drink at least 2/3 ounces of water for every pound of body weight if leading an active lifestyle
- Taking certain medications, especially pain killers, antidepressants, and even some high blood pressure meds
Of course, even the best colon cleansing diet and drinking gallons of water every day will do little to remove the feces that has already built-up along your gastrointestinal tract. Only true colon cleansers or a rather invasive and painful procedure known as colon hydrotherapy can truly flush your bowels. An extreme colon cleanser may seem radical but your health depends upon keeping the body free of toxins and bacteria which so be sure to flush your system at regular intervals after consulting with your physician.
