What is colon cleansing and how does it work?

If my imagination runs rampant and I believe my thoughts, I do hope they use at least a mild sedative and it doesn't involve a mop, bucket or plunger.

Isn't that where they take a garden hose and jam that bad boy up your butt and crank on the hydro? Then all the stuff inside comes shooting out of your sphincter like spastic chocolate colored geyser. I hope the doctor has to wear a welders face shield and hip waders.

That's how you know your colon is squeaky clean.
